On the mobile phone I have 955 talking points, which is 45 short for a new phone. At the end of january I am going to lose 28 points. So I thought I could go into the vodacom store, purchase R500 top up, get my 50 points and exchange the points for a new phone before close of business tonight when the 28 points are deducted. On asking about this I was tiold that even though it shows up on the phone it actually takes 24 hours before it is on the "system" Then I was questioned why, if I knew the points were coming off at the end of the month, did I leave it till the last minute to do anything about it. Had I known about the length of time it takes to upload the points I probably would have tried to make a plan, but also not everyone has that amount of money lying around for a top-up. Then Elias answers a phone call and vanishes, leaving me at the counter wondering if he was attending to me or not. The manager arrived and said I could buy enough to cover the 28 points which I am going to lose as well as the R500. Which for me is not acceptable quality service.
