Sim swap difficulty

On Friday the 29th of November i went to Kollanade Mtn to collect my brand new cellphone which i was highly anticipating for. I went at around 17:30 pm

A lady consultant helped me with the processing and she struggled with the sim swap until one of the consultants told her that it was after 6pm and she can't do sim swap. " talk about professionalism by wasting my time".

Anyways she then promised me that tomorrow (30th Nov) first thing in the morning she will do the slim swap in my absence and once she is done she will send me an sms to confirm that sim swap was done. She failed to do that and i waited the whole day and never received any form of feedback from her.

I then called the mtn call centre just to check if there is any record of sim swap done on my phone and they said there is non and they advised me to go to the store.

On Monday i again called the call centre& they said there is no record of such in my aaccount.
At around 4:30pm i went to the store to ask for a sim swap to be done and a consultant said the network is done and suggested that i go home and he would inform me on the feedback. Until now i am still waiting.

I hate taking a contract with mtn
