Sim swap not actioned

I had an upgrade yesterday 16/01/2014 and took a s4 mini. I was advised a sim swap needed to be done because it was a micro sim card and it was a fee of R63, which I afterwards told by people that they could have just cut my existing sim and insert it into the new phone and saved me the R63 . I was told it would take about 24 hours before the sim swap would take effect. 24 hours has long past and my old sim is still working and my new one isn't. I called customer care and they told me they cannot pick up that any sim swap was done on the system and that it actually takes at least 3 hours for the sim swap to take effect. I now have to go back to the branch to have this sorted. I am so annoyed because I am now inconvenienced by having to go back and to top it off here I am waiting anxoisly so that I can start using the phone only to find out that it wasn't done according to the call centre I have have had numerous upgrades with vodacom and this is not acceptable I am highly upset because the consultant confirmed with me that the sim swap was completed... very disgusted
