I received my Cell C bill today and on it was R254.40 for Integrat Content Services. I spoke to Macy at the Integrat call centre (I apologise for possible incorrect spelling) and within minutes of introducing myself she responds "Oh, I'll cancel your subscription". As unauthorised subscriptions must be a regular complaint at their call centre I started to question how and when I "allegedly" subscribed to whatever service I am now paying for, she promised to send me an email detailing my "subscription" application.
Now I am a reasonable person and will NOT be held liable for something I did not subscribe too. I insist on a refund, no exception. I certainly will not let this slide and am certain the Consumer Protection Act might have a stance on these types of dealings.
