No internet for 8 days and counting

Internet line went down on 21st Nov. I get told it 's an area problem, then it is only my line, then it's becasue they are upgrading the lines and now its back to being an area problem due to bad weather. I am told there is a 7-14 days backlog. There is not a Telkom van to be seen in the area??? Totally unacceptable.
