I have experienced a significant downgrade in the 3G network of Vodacom over the past 12 months, but lately it's become unacceptable. I have a good 3G signal (3/5 bars) on both my iPhone and 3 G router, yet, every page request times out. What I then have to do is turn on "air plane mode" for about 10 seconds and hen reconnec to the network. Then, magically, the Internet works, for a while, and then I have to repeat the process. And if the signal changes to GPRS/EDGE the Internet does not work at all.

Call centre is useless. They just say that the Internet is working from their side and the problem must be with my phone. After testing mutilitple devices and experiencing the same issues I can only assume the problem is on their side. About 5 days away from ditching them in favor of a competitor.
