I am on AnyTime 200. My Credit limit was R750. I use Afrihost APN for mobile data because MTN's rates are too high. This month my phone upgraded it's android version and defaulted back to the myMTN APN without my knowledge. I received an SMS the next day (9 hours after using my phone last) informing me I reached exceeded credit limit of R750 and my account has been suspended.
After calling 808 and going through the 15 minute security verification process, I was told my account for the month of december will be R1260.00!!! This is 60% above my credit limit. I was told the only thing to do to reactivate my account is to increase my credit limit. I increased it to R1300.00. since then it has been reached and suspended (after making about two 20 second calls and about 12 SMSes). Now I am sitting with a disconnected phone.
Just because I don't have a choice doesn't mean I accept this.
