Just to say Thank You to Telkom Technician, Kgosi Montsho, that fixed my Very noisy telephone line. The line became unusable just after the first real rains in Pretoria.
After hours of fault finding, in and out he determined that the problem was on a pole in a neighbouring yard where the owner was not there. He stayed late after hours in from of their gate and came in early, before 06:00 in the morning. Eventually he got access via a lady that stayed there at night.
After the noise that also caused my ADSL connection to drop every now and then was fixed he found another problem. When I pick the phone up the ADSL would disconnect. Although not a crucial problem he did not want to leave without me being totally satisfied. He then found there was a problem with the actual cable from the house to the pole and he replaced that. I have to add that he had to move the cable to a different location on the roof which meant he had to cut down branched etc. But that did not even deter him from getting my problem fixed.
