Telkom
Possible False Advertising

I recently came across a specials brochure from the Telkom Mobile website. I have been considering getting a home LTE package but never thought I could afford one. This is until I saw the home LTE special of R499 for 15GB/pm. I then made a call to the Telkom Mobile sales call centre on the 14th of November 2013 to apply for the package.

I then went through what I thought was the application process and when it came to the option that I wanted, I was told, by the apparent LTE Specialist Consultant (Simphiwe Zindela), who had no knowledge of this deal, something which had been aired for advertising on all common advertising medium for weeks, that this deal was nonexistent. I actually had to email him an information brochure about a deal the he had to sell to me. This, in my opinion is the height of ignorance, incompetence and poor service delivery on the end of Telkom Mobile and it's representatives.

After this display of poor service, when Simphiwe eventually got the brochure, he informed me that he needed to get the dealer codes for this deal. To date, he never got back to me, ignored my emails and never returned my calls. As a result, my application is still pending.
