Vodacom
Where is the hotline?

I've recently had a really distasteful experience with Vodacom which has left me totally appalled at their attitude toward customer service.

I have been receiving messages for months informing me to upgrade my phone. "Get a free Galaxy S3, get a new iPhone, blah blah blah." I usually just ignore these as I'm quite happy with my phone. Also, since taking out my contract, I've moved to Cape Town. I still regularly received messages from Vodacom Cresta in Jhb telling me to come in for an upgrade. No worries, just ignore it along with the other spam.

Until a few weeks back. I suddenly got a message telling me that I've been upgraded. "Quotation X has been generated." "Your order is being processed." "Your order has been dispatched." "You have been invoiced." "Your phone will arrive shortly."

So naturally, I phoned the call centre to inquire. They told me they couldn't help me, I needed to go in to a store. The store told me I needed to phone the call centre. I've tried now on more than 5 occasions to get this sorted, and still, no help from Vodacom.

This is totally ridiculous. Someone is clearly committing on my account. Why is this my problem? And why won't anyone help me?
