Continuous Debit after contract has ended

After 2-3 months of contract ending, debit orders are still going off and when I called them they said that it was an outstanding amount of which no one contacted me to tell me about it, it was just debited. Meaning that they have access to my account and can debit just like they want to. I was put through to the accounts department where I held on for a while and then the line just got cut (This happened about 3 times in a row). The 4th time I called I left a message for the accounts department to give me a call back. A lady called back of which I couldn't answer and she left a message and when I called back she was busy with another call. I called back about 3 times and she was always busy on another call and that she would call me back of which she never. On Friday (8th Nov'13) when I called she had already left so once again I left a message for her to call me back Monday morning. today is Thursday and I am still waiting for a call back from her.
