Delete my number, now activation of new sim is NA

I cancelled my contract with vodacom a few months ago, I specifically instructed them to change it to a prepaid so that when my second contract expires (On another network) I can start a new contract with them. So now a few months after cancelling it my other contract expired. To utter JOY I find, after inserting my vodacom sim, that my number has been deleted. Now there were no terms like this explained to me... This however is something i can deal with, what i cannot deal with is the fact that i am now stuck in a remote location, and I cannot get a new temporary sim activated (due to RICA) even though vodacom has my details and are on record from my previous contract. WELL DONE VODCOM YOU
