This incident has been ongoing for a period of 2 weeks now. I have been a loyal MTN subscriber for several years now, first on prepaid and later moving to a contract. I am now due for an upgrade and was interested initially in the Samsung S3. I was told that this phone is out of stock and the consultants at the Westgate MTN A store indicated that I would not be able to obtain this particular phone now or at any stage without offering me an alternative. A reason for which was not provided to me.
I then decided to upgrade to the Sony Experia Z for R269 per month, and was once again told that this phone is neither available now, nor will it ever be available in the future by the MTN B store at the same mall. I was then offered to Sony Experia Z1 which price wise, is a far cry from what I was initially prepared to pay. Furthermore, both the Samsung S3 as well as the Sony Experia Z are advertised expressly in their sale pamphlets and online pdf's. i would like to be either provided with therequested phone, or be provided with a next phone up for the advertised price.
