I recently was contacted by the Vodacom Telephonic Upgrades Call centre and advised that my account was due for an upgrade. I proceeded to upgrade my account for another 2 years, and chose my new handset. I was given a free gig of data for the duration of the new contract and was delighted when i ended the call. A week later, I contacted the call centre to find out what was happening, as I had not yet taken delivery of my new handset. I was informed that the phone was put on back order (via sms), but the new consultant informed me that the handset had actually been discontinued and that the likely hood of me getting this device was zero. I was upset that it had just been left hanging, but proceeded to "renew" the contract again with said new consultant and chose a different handset, with the same 1 gig free data.
Two days later and a bunch of sms' informing me that the phone and order had been processed and dispatched and would be arriving soon, i get a call from the same consultant to say that Vodacom had cancelled the delivery with the courier, but she could not tell me why?? I now cant get hold of the call centre to find out whats happening. BAD SERVICE - NOT HAPPY
