Vodacom
JOB NUMBER: 9336254

I took my phone in for repairs at the Vodacom Alberton Repair Centre. They then sent the phone to the Vodacom Advanced Repair Centre and yesterday I received a call saying it that the phone was damaged due to negligence. I sent the phone in as my mom was complaining that her phone was not charging. The return key also cracked and it's not the first time that the phone has gone in for repairs. A few weeks after she got it we sent it in. My mom is 60 years old. Her last BB 8520 lasted her 4 years. She always looks after her phones, so I refuse to be told that the phone has been mishandled or negligently handled.
Both my husband and I spend a lot of money with Vodacom on a monthly basis and we feel that why should a pensioner have to pay for something that is not her fault. Vodacom quoted us R1881 to replace the handset. Diwan from Vodacom said that the R1881 would ensure that I get a new unit. The phone is under warranty. Why should we have to pay for a replacement phone when we the phone is not even a year old and is under warranty. From other compliants registered in last week oh hellopeter, this now seems to be becoming a norm with Vodacom.
