Struggle to cancel account

I have been struggling to cancel my Telkom account since 13/09/2013.
First I went to the local store in Cape Gate, but they said that they don't do cancelations and that I have to phone 10210
I have sent emails to [Email Removed] and somebody phoned me. However they said that I first need to cancel my ADSL line, before Telkom can cancel my Analog line. Telkom cannot close this on my behalf. So I had to give a month notice to my ISP vendor.
After this, I sent through a couple of emails, with no response.
I also completed an online form, with nobody contacting me.
Then I phoned 10210, and for days I couldn't get through. So I used another option on this directory, instead of number 4, I chose number 2 which I think has to do with new business. Within seconds my call was answers. The lady there were kind enough to put me through to somebody at cancelations who created the cancelation reference for me. However besides this whole process, I now have to give another 30days notice to Telkom which I feel is unfair. Telkom already knew about my cancelation since September, why do I have to wait another 30days.
