Debiting account after payment has been done

I had changed my debit order from 01 of every month to the 07 of every month with Vodacom. However i did an eft payment into the Vodacom account to settle my current bill of R2918.19 on 07 November 2013. I received an sms on 08 November 2013 to say my bank account had been debited for R6279.08 with a late fee of R100. I called the call centre to query the incident but the lady said my account had been debited for calls made from 31 October until date 08 November 2013. She claims that Vodacom will be in contact with me between 24-48hrs after my call to them & if the money is returned it will take 14 working days which i find very ridiculous! I did my own research and have not received any bills or breakdowns of the amount R6279.08. I have amounts on my cellphone of what my bill is currently sitting at which do not add up to the amount debited. This task is time consuming and very disappointing as i have been a loyal Vodacom customer for many years and have never had this problem before. To resolve this issue I would like the money refunded to my bank account and not credited to my Vodacom account! I would hate to change service providers based on unjustified billing.
