My parents moved into a newly built cluster complex in Hyde Park, Johannesburg in 2011. My father applied for a Telkom line in 2011 and this has still not been fitted. They mainly need the landline for internet. He is forced to buy expensive mobile data bundles which have a poor signal and therefore the internet is very slow, cuts out often and is unreliable. How can Telkom not provide somebody with a landline. As they are the only people who can do this they should do this wind they should not leave individuals without landlines. It is a total disgrace and they should not be able to get away with this. They keep promising action but nothing ever happens. It is so annoying and frustrating!
