I pulled my free credit report today and noticed that I was in arrears with Neotel, an account I had closed in August already. I called them to be told I owe them 16 cents thus triggering the arrears. I paid them immediately.
I am highly disgusted that such a ridiculous amount that was not debited by Neotel at the time of closure has caused my perfectly clean credit report to reflect an arrears status for Neotel. NO-ONE notified me of this, I discovered it on my credit report and will NEVER engage with Neotel again nor encourage people to make use of Neotel.
Closing my account was a nightmare to begin with and now this - all for 16 cents which I happily would have paid if someone notified me - UNACCEPTABLE
