THIS IS ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!!
CAN NEOTEL REMOVE THIS BAD CREDIT RATING EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY!!
I closed my account with Neotel almost 4 years ago. My lawyer has been in contact with their representative (MacRobert's) and this is still unresolved. Neotel has blatantly NOT resolved this and loaded me as arrears on my credit report, effecting my ability to finance a house.
At a high level, on cancellation my account was up to date. Then I was sent the summons saying I owed /-R1300 ( /- 6 months later)? I found out with a FINAL summons issued by MacRobert's.
There was a dispute in the term of my contract that I owed money, but it was resolved! (Contact centre ill-informed me of my usage for a particular month). This is all a matter of principal and feel I am not liable for the amount, until proven otherwise (which I have given them 4 years to do and offered to listen to the calls with any management); I requested phone records at the call centre and I was never dealt with seriously. I asked to speak to management numerous times. The issue eventual feel by the way side and my account statement no longer reflected the amount when I cancelled.
