My Telkom prepaid line hasn't been working since 2011, last year some lady was doing door to door Telkom "phone checks" she said, she pressed & pressed, and the line couldn't work according to my knowledge, and said she will log a call, and have Telkom technicians come & assist, which has NEVER happened to this day.
Now, today I get a call from a lawyer about being handed over by Telkom and that I owe R1100.00, how on earth can a prepaid line owe that amount?? and to top it all off, the residential address that Telkom has isn't even mine. After countless calls to Telkom, I found out that my line changed from prepaid to weekender plan of something like that, and I know nothing about that.
There is NO LANDLINE at my house anymore, I have never received a call from Telkom's collections or accounts department, only now I hear from their lawyers that I have been handed over. I called their customer care line, and I'm exhausted from being transferred back & forth with no assistance from their rude employees, except for Sanet who gave me the information that I now know.
I will not be paying for a phone that hasn't been working & 1 that I haven't used.
This is ridiculous!!
