I recieived a R16000 bill when i was in Tanzania for data.
I sent a picture via sms. cause of the way it works on the networks that picture look many many hours to get delivered.
MTN CHARGES FOR THAT. FOR SOMETHING I AM IN NO CONTROL OVER. A picture that is a KB in size and i have a data bill of many thousands.
Speaking to them is pointless and useless. The attitude is frustrating.
And a lot of it does not make sense. If i can pre-buy data for a few hundred rands and that lasts forever on roaming. why is pre-paid such a!
Trying to get a senior person to explain at MTN is also pointless, but let 702 call and they will jump.
I try and i dont even get an acknowledgement.
Lastly, i also had a limit and it seems data is not part of it.
So when they get they rates slashed by the regulator, they use methods like this to get back the revenue.
