VIRGIN MOBILE HAS LOST IT'S VIRGINITY (and me)

Aas a loyal supporter of the Virgin brand and a regular follower of Sir Richard Branson, I have always been an advocate for Virgin mobile. Unfortunately, my trust in Virgin was recently extingquished by a fire hose, as I was informed that I could upgrade, transfer my account from my mom's name to my personal name - all while keeping my existing number. I was discouraged by Virgin Mobile Clearwater Mall to upgrade online, as I will most probably have to detain my excitement for longer than 7 days, and would be helped immediately in store. After sending my details via email to them, it took them 3 days, numerous phone calls and 2 visits later to finally upgrade my phone - with a temporary number as a catch. I was assured on 9 Oct, that I could port my old number to my new phone in just 3 days. Unfortunately, 3 days have now been extended to 4 weeks!?!?! Again, numerous phone calls & frustration later, and with friendly intend, I phoned again. On Wed 30 Oct, I was asked to give them 72 hours to sort this out. It is now another 3 days later, and suddenly now the excitement of my new Samsung toy, has finally worn off, and I am now livid. Can porting a number really take 5 weeks???
