Hi. 3 weeks ago, I applied for a contract at a MTN store in central Durban (WOLA MTN store). When I went to the store I asked the assistant what was needed for applying for a contract because this was the first time that I have applied for a contract. I had most of the documents except for the bank statement, the assistant said I can apply for the contract without it. So I applied for it and the assistant said he doesn't have stock of the HTC DESIRE X phone that I applied for (this was on the 9th January 2013). he took down my contact number and said he would call me as soon as he had stock. After a few days of waiting I decided to call the store to find out what was the story. The assistant who answered my call said that my application could not go through because they have been waiting for the bank statement. I went to the store and gave them the bank statement a week later. Since that day I have not heard from them. I called 2 consecutive weeks including today and was told that there is no stock and I would have to wait another week. If I knew that it will take 3 weeks to get my handset I would've went to another network which had sufficient stock.
