PATHETIC SERVICE!

What pathetic service! I have been battling since 26 June 2013 to cancel a contract I have with 8ta. When we got the internet service, we initially had problems which were seen to with great difficulty. Then we moved house and no more service. Due to this fact I requested that the contract be terminated earlier, I was told this is possible at a cost of R800 which I said is fine. BUT how long does one wait to have a contract terminated? Sequence on events (1) 26/06/13 put in an internet request to terminate account (2) 27/06 response received that I will be contacted (3) 28/06 requested all kinds of technical stuff which no layman will ever understand and I responded that I'm not interested in keeping the service (4) no response... (5) 14/07 visited Telkom shop in Clearwater Mall and logged another request, told I would be contacted within a few days (6) 18/07 phoned to follow up, no feedback available (7) 19/08 I phoned - case is with retentions dept (8) 09/09 I phoned - case is with retentions dept (9) 27/09 I phoned - note on system said that Sept 2013 was last installment as R800 would have been paid... This morning my account was debited again! And note... no one ever phoned me!
