I have Telkom's adsl line. I was moving from one are to another and so wanted to move with my adsl, I informed Telkom of this a month before I moved, I was told closer to the time. Closer to the time I called and I was informed to await an sms. Sms returned a few days later saying there was no infrastructure in the area I was moving to. I called Telkom to ask if I'd still be billed, they assured me that I wouldnt and they would immediately suspend the line. To my surprise this month on Saturday an amount of R503 was debited by Telkom. When I enquired I was told the line had not been suspended nor canceled and that it would take them 2 months to return my money. This is absurd!!! I want my money now! What are they keeping my R503 for? Are they trying to make money or interest of it in these 2months and Telkom is known to currently be in dire straits so is this how they are getting by? I want my money by next week!
