Dear HelloPeter,
The following my case as experienced with Cell C:
I took out a new contract for the Samsung Galaxy S4. Within one week of having the phone, I experience the phone to restart itself whenever I access my phone's photo album, and it also once started making non stop purple flashes all over the phone screen, upon I could only get it to stop when I restarted the phone myself.
I handed in the phone at Cell C Stellenbosch Branch in the Eikestad Mall, after speaking to the staff members at the Tygervalley branch where I signed the contract and got my phone from.
I have had to wipe my phone completely (privacy) before handing it in. Cell C Johannesburg office has confirmed that nothing faulty has been found with the phone, and the tygervalley branch has confirmed with me that due to this outcome, I am to get the same phone back, not a new phone. Doesn't the consumer protection act state that if a customer is not happy with the product within 7 days of purchase, that a new product should be provided?
To top Cell C's response for "getting the, according to them 'non faulty phone' back", I was promised verbally to receive a brand new phone. Unhappy customer.
