Cell C has a shocking network in KZN. I purchased my iPhone 5 a few months ago and have had endless hassels ever since. I get about 15-20 dropped calls daily and don't get any reception at my house near Stanger on the north coast. I have contacted them via their complaints section online, however the advice I was given was to upgrade to the new OS. Easier said than done - I've tried numerous times, however at some point during the 9 hour download - it fails.
I went into a Cell C store this morning to get it resolved, however their wireless was not working and they called a technician - from my phone, to try resolve it. I was told by the technician that the download doesn't take 9 hours, however I advised him to check out forums on the internet to see that I wasn't the only one experiencing 9 hour download times. Also - how is it that a phone becomes virtually unusable due to a outstanding software upgrade?
Do yourselves a favour people - go to Vodacom or MTN
