My Facebook status for today: to everybody that has MWEB Uncapped or thinking of getting it... there is NO SUCH THING as uncapped! I am battling to stay online and did a speedtest and my results: Ping 20, Upload 0.02 and download 0.18. After being on the phone for almost 2 hours with first Telkom and then MWEB, I was told that my line is being throttled due to excessive usage. Worst of all, I found out today that I am paying Telkom for a 2gig line but am registered with MWEB only for a 1gig line. If I want to register the 2gig line I will have to pay another R200. What must I do with 0.02 download speed??? Might as well cut it! Going to do my homework and think that it will actually cost me cheaper with the prepaid 8ta bundle I am currently using when not near my ADSL! CRAZY!!! Worst of all... NO ONE can tell you what the "threshold" is that you are exceeding! I am now using my 8ta prepaid (R149 for 3gig prepaid Ping 145, d upload 1.20) because technician suggested I wait a few days until my throttling will automatically stop and then restart again when I get to my "threshold".
Maybe Mweb can tell all their customers once and for all: WHAT IS THE THRESHOLD???
