We reported our land line not working on the 18th September. We also mentioned that the telkom pole which is in my garden was leaning over. It is going to collapse any day now. At the moment it is laening on one of my trees. We have had a telkom employee come out and look. He said they will have to replace it. That was 2 weeks ago. In the meantime the land line problem was burnt out cables in the next street, which we received a SMS saying the problem would be resolved by the 17th October'13. Still not working. I have called Telkom numerous times. I have a long list of reference numbers. Still no luck. Never mind my we are still getting charged with a callout fee when the burnt out cables were no fault of ours. I have never ever dealt with anything so pathetic before. We are tempted to finish with Telkom and go elsewhere. We are at our wits end.
