GRIEF EVEN AFTER CONTRACT HAS ENDED

One can never really get rid of cell C and be at peace after a long and dreadful 24 months with them. My contract ended in JUNE 2013. I wrote cell c a letter way in advance and waited for my last debits to go off. A week after the contract end date I called the call centre twice if not three times to ensure that the contract was paid up and that no amounts were owed, I was re-assured that yes Cell C was finally done with and my lines were ported to pre-paid. A couple of days ago, now in OCTOBER I get a call from a very rude guy advising me that I was owing Cell C! There have also been charged added onto the initial debit amount. After explaining to them that the call centre agents assured me that all amounts were paid, my sim card was cut off from any usage whatsoever! I am not only unable to make calls or send sms's but neither am I able to receive. This was not my fault to begin with as I did a follow-up but their customer service buffoons gave me the wrong info. Should I pay Cell C, I am only willing to pay the instalment of R171.50 and not a cent more as I now owe close to R300. I regret ever dealing with Cell C and I will be sure to warn everyone else out there!
