Vodacom must stick to its promises

Due to very poor signal in our area Vodacom agreed to cancel our cell phone contracts as of the 28th February 2013.
We are in possession of an e-mail from Lineo Phalatse from the Retentions Upgrades and Cancellations team dated 07th February 2013 confirming this.
That was the last we heard from them, however Vodacom have handed us over to attorneys in Durban when we reside in Johannesburg. What makes it stranger is there has been no correspondence between Vodacom and ourselves regarding this matter.
What is so frightening is these conglomerates that have inexhaustible supply of funds to bully the end users even thou they have agreed to cancel the contract knowing we do not have the funds to take them on in court.
They then use black listing as a black mail to extort money out of us shame on you Vodacom.
Does the right hand not know what the left hand is doing or is this a blatant disregard of sound and ethical business practise.
