Deletes my email without reading

I wanted to change my direct debit details and therefore sent an email to the contact address provided on the website. I asked for a "Read receipt" to my email. Imagine my astonishment when the following came back to me :-

Subject: Change of Bank Details
Sent: Monday, September 16, 2013 8:54:50 PM (UTC 02:00) Harare, Pretoria

was deleted without being read on Thursday, September 26, 2013 9:16:03 AM (UTC 02:00) Harare, Pretoria.

Yes... deleted without being read. What type of service is that? If Sizwe was busy or was the wrong person could they not have at least read it and passed it on and advised me? Deleted without reading... absolutely unbelievable!!!
