I have a contract with Cell C for an Iphone 4s. Recently the phone has stopped releasing sound indicating that the ringer/vibrator is faulty. Took the phone in for repairs today (10/10/2013) as it is still under warranty. However I was given LG Optimus Pro C660 (Model name obtained from LG website based on the similar image although the phone i have looks older) and not even consistent with the value of the phone that is currently under repair and has been unsatisfactory and does not meet my personal and business needs.
I have been informed that the turnaround time for repairs is 21 days. In those 21 days I will paying for a phone that I'm not using. The malfunction was not my fault. Why should I now spend 21 days without a proper phone whilst I am paying for the Iphone and do not have outstanding amounts on my contract??
The phone does not have any memory card so I cannot save files on the phone. I called the customer centre and I was informed that Cell C used to give better courtesy phones that but customers never returned them. This appears to be unlikely and not truthful particularly for individuals with contracts like myself.
