Account opened without proper procedure

I have been a victim of identity previously and for this reason I am registered at Trans Union in order to be notified whenever a credit check is done to open an account in my name. I also receive a report from Trans Union indicating which companies applied for credit check in the past 24months. I received a sms stating that I am liable for an outstanding 8TA account which was opened in my name.

I have had similar problems with two other companies and had to get a affidavit and the accounts were deemed and therefore resolved. The affidavit was also sent to 8TA but they did not accept it as they want a more specific affidavit. When looking into the matter I found that there is no record at Trans Union (above mentioned credit report) that a credit check was done before the account was opened. I requested 8TA to send me the documentation they used to open the account but they refuse to send it.

If proper procedure to open an account was followed a account would not have been opened in my name. I am still awaiting 8TA to resolve this matter as soon as possible as I am not liable for this account.
