Micro sim not working

2 weeks ago we issued an upgrade for a Blackberry Q10. We were told the phone will be ready on Tuesday 1 October (3 days later). We turned up to collect the phone and although the phone was in the attendant's hand she would be unable to give it to us as someone entered the codes into the system incorrectly.

We phoned and turned up daily where we were given the same excuse. Finally on Saturday just before they close we received a call to say the coding issue has been resolved and we could collect the phone. We rushed down there and bought a pay as you go sim to go with the phone.

We got home and put it all together following instructions carefully. Initially the phone registered cell c. After taking out the battery and sim several times the phone picked up mtn and said it was waiting for an internet connection. On Monday we went back to the branch who changed the sim and Rica'd it. We were told it could take up to 24 hours to register.

It is now Tuesday and more than 24 hours later the phone can't even pick up a mobile network. I''ve tried taking out the battery and sim several times again and still nothing.
