Tried to report a lost phone via the MTN customer care call centre (083 1 808). Firstly there is no option to speak to an operator so if you would prefer to deal with a human being hard luck! Then they ask for you cell number to be punched in, this kept putting the wrong number! When you "try again" 3 times it boots you off the call! When I eventually got through to a person (once it actually identified my number correctly) they asked me for the number again anyway.
I think it is ridiculous that a telecommunications company cannot get a call centre right! Spend 30 mins fighting to get hold of a person and my blood was boiling before I even began the process!
I even resorted to using another number they provided on the website which actually gave a human being to talk to but they simply said I should call the 808 number and were uninterested to hear that I could not use the call centre.
After over 12 years of subscription to this company I gt the very clear message that MTN don't care... I got that message loud and clear!
