Never received any invoice of outstanding bill

I do not understand these cellphone providers, how do you send someone to the attorneys without even sending them any letters of demands.
Apparently I am owing MTN R2078.99 on a contract that I had cancelled and no one even the consultant who helped me told me am currently owning R316.36. How did they cancel my contract knowing am owing them?

I have no problem with paying what I was due R316.36 however I believe it is my right to receive letters of demand or Statements or Invoices showing that after cancelling the contract how much I was owing and how much interest was growing.

Now I have attorneys harassing me on my work email address and MTN has my private email address and cell number as am still using the same number, they even have my house address as we all had registered.

Why were these letters/statements or Invoices not send to my email address or residential address?

Am not happy by the way all this is being handled now.
