My phone is insured with MTN Insurance and (apart from the terrible call centre which I can never get through to an agent) after having sent the phone in for repairs, they have sent me a swapped out phone that is in terrible condition. The keyboard is worn (paint on buttons off), scratches on the screen and metallic plate is frayed.
I find this highly unacceptable and a waste of my time. The phone I am using in the interim has an inferior quality screen and is frustrating to use.
I had no issues with the phone being swapped out but I expect the phone to be in a similar condition to the phone I sent in - and obviously working.
In addition to the above, getting hold of the MTN insurance call centre is impossible. Each time I tried, I held on for a long time - each time never getting through and the call dropped. I had 3 calls longer than 30 minutes, 2 calls longer than 40 minutes and 1 call longer than 60 min (yes, I waited for an hour before the call disconnected). My itemised billing will have sufficient proof of the lack of service received from MTN.
