I took my Blackberry 9320 into Vodacom Greenpoint to look at a problem I was encountering. The phone was bought in November 2012 I never dropped or exposed it to harmful elements - it had a screen protector and case from day one. 6 weeks ago my camera stopped working, it could not open when the button was pushed. I took it in, sure they would fix the problem since it was still under warranty. At first all was fine and I handed the phone in, about a week went by and I received an email saying that the unit had Water Damage and that the replacement cost would be R1710! I find this disgusting, I never once exposed it to water, the replacement cost is so expensive, I found the phone new in the box for less. I rejected all repair quotes and decided to pick the phone up today. I was met with a miserable woman at a counter who didn't even have the decency to greet me. When i got the phone I saw my screen protector had been taken off and put back on, but it had bubbles all over and a saw grit now under the cover. I was told this was normal to access the phone from the screen, but you can take the screen off without taking the screen protector off Why treat people like this? Im moving to MTN!
