Port-out continuously declined!

My cellphone used to run on a company contract. As I wanted to take out a private contract with Cell C my employer requested a port-out from Nashua in order for me to keep the number. The request was noted and Nashua wrote that the number will be ready for port-out after 30.09. For the last three days Cell C has tried in vain to port over the number. Each time they submit the application the port-out gets declined and each time it is a different story. I have called corporate support and all they say is that they no longer can see the number on their system.
Who do I speak to and what can I do to have this problem solved asap?
Not having this number and no cellphone at all affects my work as weill as personal affairs (I don't even have access to my residential estate!).
