Out of Bundle data Pricing

I have been on contract with Vodacom on for almost 10 months and everything was going well until last month, i run out of my data bundles and used a GB of their out of Bundle data and to my suprise that GB is going to cost me just over R 2000, mind you its the same GB a prepaid user pays R280 for, and to cancel my contract i would have to pay 75% of the remainder of the contract not sure if such is allowed by the NCR .I have asked for a copy of my recordings and a pricing that goes with my contract and yes im still waiting.

The one consultant says to me she can offer me half a GB so i do not cancel my contract, which is a sweet deal but still does not justify R2 per MB out of bundle. ADSL or Wimax would be way cheaper for a GB and i would also be willing to stay put and save more.

I hope the competition commission knows about their pricing as they bid for Neotel as they making the Internet very expensive and do not see them changing.

SA is the only place where its more expensive to be on contract, and has very few benefits and i see why 95% of the people are on Prepaid contracts, avoid the high fees and enjoy the benefits of prepaid.
