This is a copy of my correspondence with Telkom on Friday morning... "This fault was reported more than a week ago. You advising that the - "technical repair division has this problem on hand" - does not give any indication of just when you intend to fix the problem. Your progress report is in fact, absolutely useless information. This phone is in a FRAIL CARE facility. It certainly is of the utmost importance that my elderly mother have access to outside communication at all times at this stage of her life. So Please stop with the nonsensical reporting and ensure that the phone gets fixed immediately"... Soon my after my e-mail Telkom phoned the faulty line asking my elderly mother who was speaking. Now she currently has a dialing sound on the phone and any attempt to dial out a message states ENTER YOUR SECRET PIN NUMBER AND PRESS HASH.??? If you phone the faulty line from an outside phone it sounds like a ring tone but yet the faulty line is not ringing. How on earth can Telkom phone a faulty line, speak on the phone to the occupant and yet be unable to repair the faulty phone line. In addition I have yet to receive a response to my complaint!
