Good Day,
My Motorola defy has been rebooting, dropping calls and the phone will freeze up at which point I can no longer receive any messages, phone calls etc.
After going through the Mybroadband forum noticed a few users having the same issues and a sim swop resolved it. so to test I placed the sim card in another phone and that phone started having the same issues. I placed the mtn sim in the Defy and the phone worked brilliantly.
I took the phone into cell c and asked them to please replace the faulty sim and they refused stating that I need to pay a sim swop. THE SIM CARD IS FAULTY!!! why must I pay as the phone is on contract.
Desperate to get the phone working I paid the R150.00 done a sim swop and the phone is now working brilliantly. Judging by how many people are having this issue on the forums you would think Cell C would swop the sim out at their own cost.
Considering my contract is coming to an end I will have to start looking at other service providers.
