I phoned the retention department last week and asked for a settlement amount for my contract to be cancelled.
I was quoted an amount of R2 126.80. I found it strange as I only have 7 months left on my contract of which I pay R289, 90 per month.
That gives you R2 029.3 in total. To my understanding the 2gb data package was a month to month contract and could be cancelled/downgraded at any given time.
So I asked will I be given the 2gb per month for the rest of the 7 months and I was told no, it gets cancelled.
That's daylight in my opinion.
Anyway I did the deposit of the R2 127.00 on the 17th September and was told to call in 2 days to confirm cancelation.
I called on the 19th and was told it was not reflecting call back tomorrow. I called this Morning (20th) and was told they have received payment.
So the contract is cancelled right? No was the answer
You still need to pay in R288.90. Then why the was I given a settlement amount that was not a settlement.
So this adds up to R2 415.90???
I want my money back that was deposited please. I will continue paying the contract for the further 7 months
