Line installation ADSL line conversion

Its taken nearly a month for Telkom to install a line and convert it to ADSL. And its still not done.

In addition to falsely stating that someone would come to my house on two separate occasions (each time with me taking annual leave from work in order to be at home) obviously no one showed up. In addition, of course, completely getting my details wrong on three separate occasions from three separate people, resulting in a restart of the whole process and massive phone bill waiting each time for anyone from Telkom to stop taking lunch and answer a phone.

Now that the line has finally been installed after what seems like ages, Telkom then proceeds to take over a week
to convert the line to ADSL - yes apparently its such a big job it take over a week to go to an exchange and change the settings. But no matter - at least now its been done? No. Even this they cant get right as my internet from my ISP still doesn't work due to the newly installed line having a fault which requires a Telkom technician to repair. How do you even up an installation?

I expected Telkom to be useless, lazy and incompetent - but even that was setting the bar too high
