Sunday my mother and I went to MTN to have a look at their deals because we were both due for an upgrade. Among the handsets I was considering are counted the Huawei Ascend P6 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini. Upon arrival we found a Huawei promoter there who told us about a promotion where the first 618 customers to buy the P6 would be given a R618 voucher (limited to 10 individuals per store). The promoter went on to inform us that that particular store has not sold its quota and I would therefore most certainly get a voucher. Given the fact that I was already considering the P6 and every loves a sweetened deal, I decided to take the phone, based on the latter point. After the paperwork had been processed, no one knew anything about the vouchers. Why advertise a promotion that the staff don't know about, and as if to add insult to injury, send a promoter to further advertise the promotion. I'm disappointed by this whole thing, could MTN please rectify this and train their personnel better in future.
