Unsatisfactory Service Rendered

I have a contract with Vodacom and a blackberry 9320 was taken with them in October 2012. A month down the line the navigator of the phone got stuck on the the search icon. I took it in at the Vodacom Jabulani branch and they advised that the phone was taken to their advanced technician for further observation.

After two weeks they advised that the phone was liquid damaged and the cost to fix that phone is R1500. I rejected that quote as that amount is equivalent to the cost of a new phone and to my knowledge the phone had not been exposed to any liquids. They in turn sent me pictures proving that the phone was indeed exposed to liquid however I am not sure if this is true or not as I'm not a qualified technician therefore I wouldn't know what to look for.

I sent an email to the repair centre regarding this matter and till today the has not been a reply. In contacting the call centre, they too cannot assist. I have since been paying the monthly contract rate for a product that I am not using. To put the icing on the bitter cake, Vodacom Alberton went and sold me the wrong deal on a modem deal than the one requested.

Such service rendered is unsatisfactory.
