MTN's data coverage map states that I do have up to 4G LTE data coverage in my area and the only data I pick up at home (if I'm lucky) is EDGE. I have called the 'Coverage Contact Centre (083 900 1212)' numerous times and all I get is: "It is not our problem... it is the technical departments problem (0831555) & we only deal with voice coverage." The technical department says it is not their problem, because it is not a fault with my phone's settings or with my phone, because I have perfect 3G signal at most parts (I agree with this) - they keep referring the problem to the latter department, which is not doing anything about it, because I do not get replies / improvement, if I'm lucky I get attitude from them. In the last week I have just been passed on to one person to other. So I ask > WHY??? Do you have a Coverage contact centre if they cannot assist in poor coverage areas. And it is so frustrating that I had the same problem with Vodacom last year (before joining MTN) and they fixed the problem with their network with one phone call (by boosting the network) and I joined MTN and have just been having problems. Whats the point in having a phone if you can't even use it at home?
