I am paying for a 4MB internet line at home in Wonderboom Pretoria the capital city of South Africa (not Pofadder). IF it works, it is working @ 0.9 MB. I have over 20 sms's from Telkom saying they are looking into the problem. At the odd occasion a technician comes to my house, (4 times), they switch the modem on and off and say it is fixed now. Then they say they are going to look at the main line somewhere in the street, just never to return. Incompetent is not the word, there must be a special word for Telkom.
When you phone in to report the fault and want to speak directly to the manager at the call centre, they are either never available, or they say they will phone back. This never happens. One occasion Poppie, the manager said she always phones her customers back, Again it did not happen. After phoning every day, for another week I managed to get hold of another manager, he also said he will come back to me, He did not either. Again after numerous calls managed to speak to another manager called Poppie, she stated that she and the previous Poppie is not the same person, yes, I believe you Poppie. I give up with Telkom, I really need internet
